Color and interior

The meaning of colors

Colors have an influence on how one feels somewhere. So before choosing the one who will set the tone in your home for years to come, read the following paragraph. Colors all have something to tell us.

Let’s start with the primary colors:

Blue, the color of the sky, will tend to push us to productivity, it represents confidence, security and can also invite spirituality.
Yellow, the solar color par excellence, can boost our creativity and optimism. It is bright, energizing and joyful!
Red, the color of passion, is by far the brightest shade. It is exciting and ultra powerful.
Green is the color of balance. Reminiscent of nature, it is a shade that calms and reassures us. It inspires stability and confidence.

Secondary colors can influence the energy level of a room just as significantly:

The orange color is a vibrant and welcoming color that also conveys energy but in a less strong form than red.
Purple is the color of royalty and nobility (especially in its darker version). It can also be associated with a form of spirituality and stimulates the imagination, as it approaches the world of dreams.
Finally, the beige and brown shades are imbued with warmth and comfort. They also remind us of nature and testify to a certain security and reliability.

Finally, let’s talk about colors that are not, since they are essential in our interior:

White, this non-color symbolizes purity, clarity, peace. It is the simplest shade and yet has an infinity of varieties. It is often used as a base in decoration.
Gray expresses neutrality.
Black is the strongest and most radical shade of the entire color palette: it is therefore used to highlight and affirm something: it is a color that is often associated with luxury and elegance, but also with mystery…
