1. Scope These general terms and conditions apply to all sales of furniture and accessories made by Wood Story Ltd, whether standard furniture or custom-made furniture. Any order implies unconditional acceptance of these terms.

2. Products Wood Story Ltd strives to present its products accurately. Photographs, descriptions, plans, and sketches are provided for information purposes only. For custom-made furniture, minor variations may occur due to technical manufacturing constraints, without affecting the overall conformity of the product.

3. Orders 1. Any order must be confirmed in writing (signed order form, accepted quotation, or electronic confirmation). 2. Orders for custom-made furniture are binding and final once validated. 3. Wood Story Ltd reserves the right to cancel an order in case of force majeure, supply shortages, or non-payment of the required deposits.

4. Custom-made furniture – Responsibility for measurements 1. When the measurements necessary for manufacturing are taken by Wood Story Ltd, the company assumes responsibility for their accuracy. In the event of an error on our part, all necessary corrections will be made at no additional cost to the client. 2. When measurements are provided by the client, Wood Story Ltd cannot be held responsible for any error. Any necessary adjustment or remanufacturing will be charged to the client.

5. Technical and structural adjustments 1. Given the nature of custom-made furniture, the manufacturer reserves the right to make technical or structural adjustments when necessary to ensure the strength, safety, stability, or functionality of the furniture. 2. These modifications will be carried out while seeking to preserve the agreed design as much as possible. 3. The client acknowledges that such adjustments are an integral part of the manufacturing process and cannot be considered as non-conformity.

6. Payment terms 1. A deposit of 30% of the total price is required upon signing the order. 2. A second payment of 60% is due when the furniture arrives at the premises of Wood Story Ltd, prior to delivery. 3. The remaining balance of 10% is payable upon completion of the project and after final installation. 4. No amount may be withheld by the client in the event of non-conformity, as Wood Story Ltd undertakes to correct any error or necessary adjustment.

7. VAT 1. The client acknowledges being informed of the legal rules regarding the application of the reduced VAT rate (notably the 6% rate for certain renovation works) and undertakes to provide all necessary certificates or supporting documents where applicable. 2. In the event of false declarations, failure to comply with legal conditions, or refusal by the tax authorities, Wood Story Ltd will automatically invoice the VAT difference to the client, who undertakes to pay it without delay. 3. Wood Story Ltd cannot be held liable for any incorrect application of the VAT rate if it results from incomplete or inaccurate information provided by the client.

8. Delivery and installation 1. The delivery times communicated are for information purposes only. 2. Delivery and installation are carried out at the address provided by the client. 3. The client must check the condition of the products upon receipt and immediately report any anomaly.

9. Warranty 1. All furniture benefits from the legal warranty of conformity and the warranty against hidden defects provided under Belgian law for two years. 2. The warranty does not cover damage resulting from misuse, improper maintenance, or work carried out after installation.

10. Data protection Personal data collected in the context of an order is processed in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and is used solely for order management and customer relations.

11. Jurisdiction These terms are governed by Belgian law. In case of dispute, jurisdiction is assigned to the courts of the judicial district corresponding to the registered office of Wood Story Ltd, namely Brussels.
